There are three settings in the Power in Passband sub-dialog box, Range of Hz, Range of %
Power, Transform timebase.
Range of Hz:
Specifies the upper and lower edges of the frequency band. The numbers
represents hertz or cycles per second.
The Range of % Power:
sets the upper and lower bounds of power within the selected
frequency band and is mapped to the MIDI, General Graph, ASCII and/or DDE output.
. If the
selected band is wider than the phenomena under consideration the event will be diluted. It is
important to observe the slider, fast bars and slow bars to ascertain which frequencies are
actually varying with the designated task.
The Transform Timebase: selects the rate of averaging in seconds for the time averaged
fourier transform. A low number will give a faster response. A high number will smooth the
moment to moment variability of the output.
